Dasha Periods of the Wayward Rahu (Part 4)
Dr.
K.S. Charak
Of
the natural malefics, the mention of Rahu generates a peculiar awe
and anxiety. Rahus dasha periods are often quite important
in one's life and are remembered long after they are over, irrespective
of whether they prove beneficail or harmful to the native. The author
elaborates the subtle point in the analysis of Rahus dasha

The forthcoming

America's
Destiny: An Astrological Controversy
Linda Johnsen
The events
of September 11, 2001, caused a crisis in the American astrological
community. Western astrologers trying to delineate the horrendous
events of that day found themselves grappling with the embarrasing
fact that there is no agreement about what horoscope to use for the
United States of America. More than a dozen different charts have
been suggested over the years, each with its own passionate advocates.
A new chart of US based on thorough research by American-born Vedic
astrologer James Kelleher created sensation recently in the astrological
circles in the US.
Some Unknown Dimensions of Kaaraka
Dr.
Suresh Chandra Mishra
A
Karaka planet is one which is responsible for disbursing all the
good and desirable results to the native. Planets in specific nakshatras
produce karaka results. Similarly, debilitated planets strong in
shadbala or in auspicious signs or in exaltation in specific vargas
produce favourable results. The author explains how to interpret
the results of karaka planet with the help of example charts.
Laghu Jatakam - Part 5
English Translation and Commentary by
Dr. K S Charak
Varahamihira is considered the greatest
authority on Vedic astrology after the era of the sages like Parashara.
He was born near Ujjain during the sixth century AD. His most popular
works are the Brihat Jataka and the Brihat Samhita. The Laghu Jatakam
is a rather abridged version of the Jataka text. Easy to comprehend
and rich in substance, it is a classic that must be studied alike
by the novice and the master.
World Trade Center Chart
Edith
Hathaway
Vedic astrology places great importance on the groundbreaking
for a building. Though there was apparently no ceremony for such
a ground breaking of the World Trade Center, there is a documentation
for the start of work on actual groundbreaking. Edith explain the
basis of the chart with the recent event.
